As a participant on the programme, we would expect you to:
- have a strong sense of local culture and identity
- be able to access established local networks (e.g. social, professional or religious)
- have good communication skills
- be interested in learning and broadening horizons value fairness and social justice.
It doesn't matter if you need to build on some of the above experience. The most important thing is that you are interested in developing these skills and qualities and are passionate about creating change in your community.

Although participants are normally recruited directly via our local delivery partners, there might still be an opportunity for us to put you in touch with a partner or to volunteer on a social action project.
